Sonoma Valley Wine

American Viticultural Area in Sonoma Valley wine country is one of America located in Sonoma County in California.

This valley also known as the Valley of the Moon has more than 60,000 hectares devoted to grape production. Their appellations of origin are surrounded by the Mayacamas Mountains and Sonoma.

The Sonoma Valley wine industry began its boom in the 70's. By the end of 2005 and had nearly 300 wineries and acres above. Its importance has increased so much that this sector contributes only a year more than 8 billion U.S. dollars to the economy of the region.

Among its main productions we Aleatico grapes, Grenache shark, Barbera, Burger, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignane, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Silvaner, Syrah, Tempranillo, Teroldego, Trousseau Gris Viognier, and Zinfandel.
